In addition to his exploits on the field, 25 league tries so far this season......

.......former England Sevens player, turbo charged full back, Nick Royle, has been handed the responsibility of coaching the threequarters.
Following his arrival at the Vale at the end of October 2012 when Nick made his debut over at Sale FC he has made 33 appearances but because of postponed fixtures last season had to wait until his third game at the beginning of December before he scored his first try. His total currently stands at 43 which includes North One West and Lancashire Trophy games plus a warm up fixture at Stoke on Trent at the start of the 2013/14 season.
Nick's professional career began with Widnes Vikings followed by a move to Warrington Wolves. He then swapped codes and joined Sale Sharks and then signed for Fylde. While playing for Fylde he set a National League individual try scoring record with 7 tries against Orrell. Always a prolific try scorer while he was at Fylde Nick ran in 152 tries from 142 appearances.
Nick's headline breaking exploits brought him representative honours and for three seasons he was a contracted player for the RFU England Sevens squad, where he performed with distinction. He was also honoured with an invitation to play for the world renowned Barbarians, in addition to being a regular English Counties player.
Recently Nick has qualified as an RFU coach, making his appointment as the back's coach the perfect opportunity to put into practise his newly acquired skills for the benefit of the Vale of Lune.
Congratulations Nick on your achievements.
