Having gone down early in the game the Vale thought it was going to be a long day in the office but through a determined effort by the 7 forwards and some lovely running rugby from the backline the A team managed to pull off a spectacular 43-40 victory.
Tries coming from;
D. Hall- 2 tries from the dangerous center but his highlight being a penalty attempt at goal which managed to roll into touch for a 5 meter lineout.
K.Doyle- the slowest looking 50 meter sprint for the try line.
H.Fellows- an excellent use of a 2 on 1 where he decided to cut back in and sit down 4 people instead of giving the simple pass to the winger.
A.Muir- the injured winger managed to hobble over for a well taken try. Even injured he moved quicker than Noodles.
A. Bargh- The Ed Sheeran lookalike took his try excellently on a terrific debut.
S.Wilson- an opportunistic try from the center where stood in the opposition full back position, a touched in flight kick landed gratefully into his welcoming hands.
Overall a tremendous effort by all 14 people who wore the Vale shirt and the man of the match decision was unable to be made due to all the commitment shown by each member of the team. However, special mentions to A.Bargh and R. Randall on their debuts who played with the passion of players who've played for the Vale for years.
Finally, our sympathies to Ben 'Work shy' Charnley who has broken his ankle and will be out for 6 weeks. Bets are to be taken on how fat he gets.
