The Under Tens caravan made the short trip south to the Garstang flood plain to take on our closest opponents.
Seven players made the trip and played four sessions, led by Alfie ‘Yul Brynner’ Heath, making the LBB redundant as every player played every minute. The match was a close one with decent mauling and excellent, committed counter rucking which gave the visitors some good primary possession. Some good passing and hard running kept the scores very close.
The boys have played this Garstang group ten times now and the development for both teams is very good to see. Thanks to Harry, William and George, Garstang players who helped the Vale seven make eight. Proper spirit of rugby stuff.
A Magnificent effort from the Vale Seven. Sam ‘Hat Trick’ Hutton was awarded player of the match for his hard running at both opponents and goal line.
