Over several decades at the Vale, our dearly departed chum, Stuart Vernon, amassed a great deal of documentary material. As a player, match reporter, Press Secretary and President, 'Scoop' had an insight into the club that was unrivalled. He was a meticulous record-keeper, and his work , many boxes of it, is now available for perusal. Match reports, matchday programmes, newspaper cuttings and many more documents await the attention of the Vale membership, particularly those likely to be mentioned in them.

The rummage event will take place from 2pm on Saturday 6th of June 2026 in the County Bar. Anyone with an interest in the last fifty years of Vale history is welcome to come along and participate. All records can be photographed for posterity, and duplicated items are free to a good home.

Food will be available, along with selected wines at discounted rates.
