It is with deep sadness that the Vale of Lune announces the passing of Life Member Gill Bishop, the daughter of Pat, and the late Peter Atkinson, and sister of Adrian.

Gill played a significant part in the running of the club, particularly during Peter's term as President. She passed away in the summer after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer. Gill is survived by her husband Chris, their son Patrick and daughter Rosie.

Pat is still very much involved in Vale social events, whilst Adrian now lives down south. The Vale of Lune extends our sympathies and support to the whole family. Donations can be made in Gill's memory to St John's Hospice, Lancaster, or to Maggie's, the NHS Foundation Trust at Christie's, Manchester.
