The mighty U.10s final match of 2025 was away on a wet and blustery Sunday morning at Widnes. Both sides were fantastic and everyone was looking forward to this reverse fixture at Powderhouse Lane.
Once again a great match followed with parents and coaches treated to differing styles of rugby that would be equally at home on the hallowed turf of Twickenham or Murrayfield.
The U.10s have worked hard on establishing clear lines of defence but also from turning defence into attacking intent and really taking the game to the opposition.
The match certainly didn’t disappoint the rugby purists with all players showing true grit, determination and working beautifully as a team.
All of the coaches were proud of the efforts with Head coach Joe quoted as saying ‘it is a pleasure to see the players take what they work on a Thursday and bring it onto the pitch on a Sunday. Despite some size differences our boys really wear the cherry and white with pride and make sure their quality shines through whoever we play!’
Team of the week were Theo, Seb and James. All of them really shone with their tackling and rucking. This was a big focus for the coaches and they did a fabulous job ! Well done boys!
